Case Studies - Wealth Strategy 3

Mr V is a foreign national, who has chosen to live permanently in UK. Mr V had been living in UK for more than seven years. As a result of recent changes in legislation, his worldwide income had become potentially liable to UK tax. Mr V had a portfolio of investments which was valued at £3.5million and from which he enjoyed an income of £140,000 per annum. HMRC offered Mr V the choice of either submitting a UK tax-return or of paying £30,000 per annum in tax.

Specialist Solutions were able to create an investment structure, within which the existing portfolio would be managed and Mr V would be able to remit funds to UK, with no tax for a substantial period of time. Specialist Solutions worked with Mr V’s existing fund managers, to ensure the suitability of the investments within the portfolio.
